BEFORE YOU START

NRC (Nike Run Club) APP

  1. If you haven’t already, please download the ‘NRC’ app from your app store and login

  1. Search for TRACKMAFIA in ‘find friends’ and request to be added as a friend

  1. You will then be added to the BLOCKDOWN challenge.

Please use this for any runs throughout your time period


TRACKING

  1. Download the free app ‘Traccar Client’ from your app store

  1. Open the app and set the server URL to http://95.217.233.29:5055

  1. Change frequency to '60'

  1. Change location accuracy to 'High'

  1. Set Device Identifier Number with your bib number in 6 digit format.
    For example, if you are bib number 135, your identifier number will be 000135.

  1. When asked for permissions for Traccar App please set to ‘always’ (remember to switch this off after the race!)

  1. Please make sure service status is set to ‘off’ until you begin

  1. When you start, please open the app and turn service status to green so that you can be tracked. If you want to check we can see you, message us before you start

You must keep this running throughout the course of your runs so that you are trackable and only turn off if you are finished. If we cannot see you, your postcodes will not be counted.

POINTS

The aim is to run through as many postcodes as possible in the time frame. There are 313 postcodes that can be counted. A full list of valid postcodes can be found here. You must make sure you are fully in the postcode – putting one foot in does not count. Running a street or block should do it.

Team members can run separately or together, but postcodes will only be counted once for each team. Your score will be the combined total number of unique postcodes blocked off by team members.

A simple google map search will highlight a postcode area so we would suggest planning a route ahead of time to use your time and battery most efficiently.

If you decide you would like to run for shorter or longer than you originally stated, just let us know. You will then be moved into a different time frame and counted in this race.

The results will be posted here after the event and we will be announcing the winners on our Instagram page.
